A few years ago I was helping out at my kids' school and in talking to one of the other parents found out that she preferred to only purchase original artwork. This was the first time I had run into anyone with this preference. Hearing this actually started the gears moving in my head towards the belief that I could someday be an artist for a living. I didn't realize there was still a market for original art, even though inexpensive prints are readily available at department stores. I think I just figured that since original art was out of my reach financially, that it must be the same for most other people too. It's hard to think outside of your own bubble sometimes and realize just how diverse and huge the world actually is. It's time to add some more solution and expand my bubble. How big is your bubble today?
